Disaster Site Worker (DSW) is Special training that can be very useful for larger groups.  The DSW training is customized for the response and recovery business and agencies to facilitate groups for better Emergency Action or to facilitate emergency response preparedness.  The focus is preplanning through training as to what to if an emergency occurs in the community or business and how to respond to emergencies as a construction worker, first responder, HAZWOPER, Medical Professionals, Search And Rescue teams, and secondary responders in some cases.  DSW training is Sixteen Hours "See Below" for qualifications of trainees to get this training.


We are the best for training disaster site workers.

The pre-requisite is that the worker must have OSHA Ten Hour training and be medically qualified to wear a respirator.  This is a two day. performance based not online, trainees must demonstrate to an instructor their skills to be better enabled to perform at Disaster sites.  Training such as specified in many respirator manufacturers manuals and OSHA recommendations and interpretations.  It includes many things that are related to disasters that can happen anywhere, at anytime, we do not currently advise or  endorse any online training for Disaster Site Workers. Trainees learn a variety of awareness subjects for construction disaster recovery, Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and the effects of exposure to such substances when used as a weapon or prevention techniques for potential exposure at Disaster clean-up sites.  There is two options our program custoomized for disaster site workers and or Certification is issued by an independent OSHA Authorized Disaster Site Worker Trainer certifying organization through OSHA. 

Can you name some types of Disasters?  We can and go through it all! Hurricane Charlie is a Disaster, so was the World trade Tower attack, the anthrax terrorism, Huricane Katrina, in the past there was events like the San Francisco Earthquake or The Great Chicago Fire and many more. Do you know what a TIC is? Participants learn about hazards, to operate under the latest and greatest Incident Command System and their supervisor.  They also learn how to deal with trauma types of events.  Their is much more call today representative will explain.

Although some training is primarily classroom based, non class room training is conducted with  information with a live instructor.  Notes are usually prepared to assist in the educational process.

All trainees get in addition to training a CD with Disaster Site Guidance for each participant and other resources for each trainees toolbox of written resources.  Reading material for Guidelines for community Anti-Terrorist Preparation (ATP) is included in the program.  More importantly trainees learn how to remedy a Disaster Site.  Of course it includes methods terrorist have been known to use and current related events.  Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) emergency response training is also overviewed, special training can include response, awareness of the hazards of Anthrax and other Biological agents.  Radiation hazard awareness is covered. In addition, the elements of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), preparation for emergency disposal considerations, decontamination of personnel and equipment. These are customized for each group.  These individuals going through training are evaluated in detail before proceeding to the next progression.  Each student receives a toolbox of resources and written material to guide them through the levels. 

 


Emergency Response Training

 

The course is taught in a friendly and comprehensive mannerism to make learning fun and easy for the precipitants.  Key topics are taught 1,2,3.. by 1 Introduction, 2 Learn, 3 Apply & Action. Basic Eighty-Hour skills are included to meet Washington OSHA requirements and American Heart Association First Aid CPR. This is a deluxe package extra for advanced education and advanced technical skills.  For some customized programs there may be additional cost of special equipment and specialty instruction.  Some of these are based on Site Specific requirements or facility needs.

 

This training is for all State, Tribal, federal agencies, local private or public sectors.  The material and program used is from an author team of Federal, State, Tribal, Territory, and local public sector, planning, and response organizations and from a cross-section of professional associations involved in hazardous materials and emergency response.  We also offer Emergency Response Training (ERT) includes recognition, evaluation, control of emergencies and Terrorist Preparedness for such incidents that constitute an emergency such as explosions, toxic and hazardous atmospheres. Levels 1 through 5 and specialties. Federal Emergency Management aspects and other subjects of specialized Emergency Response to include Incident Commander.

All Emergency Response Levels 1,2,3,4,5 and components are evaluated by Instructor on a GO/NO GO military style of training to ensure proficiency in each job specification for your plant or facility.
