Mine Safety Appliances Company was founded 90 years ago by two mining engineers who fought under-ground mine fires, rescued trapped miners, and developed or improved safety, rescue, and protective gear. MSA has continued to help protect workers from hazards, great and small, and today helps protect millions of workers in every industry around the world.

MSA has sold gas masks for military use since World War l, so we have always understood the demands placed on crucial protective equipment in extremely hazardous conditions.

We historically and steadfastly have helped First Responders before, during and after emergencies, from small house fires to multiple explosions at chemical plants, from hazardous materials spills to hurricanes.

Super Safety founder used the products in the field military, firefighter, and industrial to bring you the products from an experienced distributor.

MSA makes and markets Respiratory Protection; Instruments; Head, Eye, Face & Hearing Protection; Fire & Police Helmets; Fall Protection; Thermal Imaging Cameras; and Mining, Emergency& Specialty Equipment via a national network of trained distributors, product specialists, and knowledgeable contacts.

Now Super Safety expands these services international for Global Corporations and US and Canada friendly governments.

Since MSA began operations in 1914, our reputation for quality products has never been challenged. Technology enhances our creativity in product development, with state-of-the-art computerized equipment, such as CAD (computer-aided design) systems and stereo lithography (which produces prototypes rapidly). This helps us to respond quickly as your needs change.

Within most product groups is a wide selection of models, sizes, colors, materials, options. accessories, and prices. Many components of MSA products are formulated, machined, tooled, or molded in-house from raw materials. This means greater manufacturing control for us and quality assurance for you.

Industry Week magazine named MSA’s Murrysville manufacturing facility one of the best manufacturing plants in North America and Europe in the year 2000.

Both the Safety Products and Instrument Divisions of MSA are certified as meeting the new SO 9001-2000 quality assurance requirements of the International Standard Organization (ISO).

 In the past few years, MSA has acquired companies and/or new capabilities so that we can serve more customers better.
In 2002, we began to manufacture specialized helmets for military and law-enforcement use, and in 2004, we added the manufacture of passive and electronic hearing protection. In 2005, MSA created a brand new ballistic protection product line, featuring ballistic vests to protect law enforcement personnel.
