OptimAir® MM
2K PAPR with Type HE OptiFilter® XL Filter
The OptimAir MM
2K PoweredAir-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) is
designed for abatement, nuclear,
lead and other hazardous particulate
environments. The PAPR filters
particulates from ambient air and
provides a constant flow of
respirable air to the Advantage
3000,Ultravue or Ultra Elite Facepiece. The
mask-mounted motor/blower with
HEPA filter has a low profile design
that enhances user maneuverability
and simplifies decontamination.
The PAPR includes a small,
lightweight, water-resistant nickel
metal hydride (NiMH) battery pack
that will operate for eight hours of
continuous use. Weighing only
12.5
oz., it measures only 3"x 5"x 1".The low-profile unit fits close to the
wearer’s body. The sealed battery
pack is water-resistant for easy
shower decontamination. Another
advantage: NiMH batteries do not
have the "memory effect "associated
with NiCad batteries. The standard
Dual-Rate Battery Charger will
recharge a fully discharged battery
in less than three hours.
